After many urgings from people that I need to get better at keeping in contact with them, I decided to once again try out this blog idea since it seems to be the big thing now, especially with so many of my WOLBI friends. So bear with me as I get used to it again, a year after I first started this site. If you want to know what's going on with me, I'm busy as usual with teaching and taking graduate classes. This is one of my best years teaching so far, and I get to work with the FCA club at my school that has over 60 students in membership right now. You can pray that the group stays strong and that I can be a good leader/sponsor at my school. You can also pray for me as I look for a good church nearby to join - I know God is leading me to get involved somewhere and it is hard to make the right decision.
As the new year is about to begin, I think of some good memories from 2006:
- Helping with the first production of "Jesus, Behold the Man" at Word of Life Florida.
- Going to Mayport Naval Base as a chaperone for a week for the NJROTC program at my school.
- Learning to ride a motorcycle and purchasing "Ralph," my Kawasaki KLR250 Dual Sport bike.
- Going to Hawaii with my mom in September for a week - it was great!
- Receiving "Teacher of the Year" Award from my school, what an honor!
- Learning through good times and difficult times that God is always in control and I don't need to worry or be anxious - this is something I'm constantly working on, but this past year was when it was most evident to me.
