Wow, I heard a really good message this morning about INTEGRITY, and boy did it hit home! Listen to this verse:
"Lord, who may abide in Thy tent? Who may dwell on Thy holy hill? He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness, and speaks truth in his heart. And does not slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend." Psalm 15:1-3
So I've been convicted of some things in my life that have been more self-centered than God-centered and I know I need to work on them. A lot of this has to do with what is going on the inside, not what it looks like on the outside. The clincher was when the pastor said that without integrity, we can't have a relationship of any kind with God because of hypocrisy. That close relationship that God wants to have with us can't happen unless we ask for forgiveness and put our entire focus on Him instead of ourselves. Wow, sounds like I have some work to do! I pray that we can be true examples of Christ in all areas of our lives (inside and out) so that we would not live like hypocrites.
